Ok, this is a borderline lame recipe to post. Condiments aren’t that hard to make, everyone has there own version of them, and we know we’re offering this up into the internet cosmos along with 4,620,000 other options on Google. That’s why we’re not going to talk about honey mustard sauce. It’s delicious, especially with chicken fingers dipped in egg wash and rolled in seasoned almond flour. Enough said, moving on.
We’ve been caught in a funny season in our life lately. It has been incredibly busy, yet frustrating because it actually hasn’t been that busy. We’ve achieved some goals we had, like increasing our physical activity and spending more time with friends, which have shaved some hours off our “free” time, but not enough to make sense of this building sense of internal “busy-ness”. Which makes me think our imbalance has nothing to do with time, not having enough of it, or what we’re trying to fill it with. It must come down to how we’re thinking about it. And that’s where the epiphanies stopped. At best we feel plateaued in our walk towards full potential, at worst we feel unengaged and unproductive. So, what to do?
First, we made chicken fingers with honey mustard sauce and ate them (you thought I’d forgotten why we’re all here, hadn’t you.)
Then we decided to blow this plateau out of the water by making the month of March CRAP free. No coffee, refined sugars, alcohol or procrastination for the entire month of March. It is an overdue challenge- we have been using our steady stream of house guests as the excuse to slack off on our clean lifestyle. We will keep you posted on our results, especially as we unlock the key to being less concerned with “busy”. If you have any wisdom to offer, it’s very welcome!
